I have not posted in well over a year. I'm not really able to explain why March 4, 2014 was my last post. I really did have every intention to document every moment of the preparation to NYC as well as the trip itself. That's why I originally started this blog.
I originally started this blog to document my preparations for my trip to NYC and the trip itself both as a novice traveler and as a wheelchair user. I guess it became a very personal journey that I wasn't quite ready to share yet. I shared photos on Instagram and posted statuses on Twitter/Facebook but there were a lot of emotions and feelings that I was going through that I had no words for. Still sometimes don't...but maybe as I write about it, the words will come to me.
As the anniversary of the one year since I went on this journey approaches, I feel as though I am ready to write about it. The plan is to start with the year anniversary of when I boarded the train on August 22nd and write for every day up to the anniversary of the day that I left NYC on an airplane.
I think that will be an interesting journey all on its own.
